FREQUENT & COMMON QUESTIONS

We typically have cattle ready for slaughter each month, and we have dates booked at Camden Locker LLC for slaughter each month as well. However, we are often sold ahead at least 3-4 months on our cattle. So if you call today to order a beef, you should typically expect a 3-5 month turnaround for your order. We encourage repeat customers to order in advance (no money is due until your beef is picked up) so that your needs are met. We are actively working to increase our herd production to meet demand. 

You are able to get all available cuts of beef from the carcass. If you purchase a whole beef, you will receive all cuts and amounts. If you purchase a half or quarter beef, you will be receive a likewise portion of all cuts and amounts. 

It works out to be about 1/3 steak, 1/3 roast and 1/3 burger when standard cuts are selected. 

You can put some or all of your roast and or steak meat into burger. 

You will receive a proportional share of steaks from the carcass that you bought. We unfortunately are unable to make a carcass produce more steaks than mother nature does for us. We have retail sales available if you need to purchase more of a certain cut, or need to purchase in between whole, halve, quarter beef orders. 

We have primarily always taken our cattle to Camden Locker in Camden Ohio. Now that our family owns and operates Camden Locker LLC, we will be taking all our beef to this plant to be processed.
